The things people ask at the counter before they hand over a console - quotes, warranty terms, timelines, buying, booking, and what happens when a console cannot be fixed.
Every repair here is quote-first. Text us the console and what it is doing, or bring it in, and we diagnose it before we name a number. The quote we give you before work starts is firm - we do not start until you approve it.
Your repair's warranty terms are written out on your repair ticket, in writing, before you pay - so you know exactly what is covered before any money changes hands. If anything about the terms is unclear, ask us at the counter and we will walk through them with you.
Nothing for the repair. We look it over, tell you what we found, and quote the fix if there is one. If it turns out to be unfixable, or you decide against the repair, there is no repair bill.
Yes - microsoldering. The port is soldered to the main board, so the damaged port comes off, the pads are prepared, and a new port is soldered on under a microscope. We test picture and sound before the console goes home.
It depends on the diagnosis and the part. At check-in we will give you a firm quote and a date for the repair.
Yes - working or damaged. A console with a broken HDMI port is still worth something to us. Bring it in and we will make an offer based on the model and condition, or quote the repair - your call.
Walk in whenever we are open - 257 Lee Dr Ste V in Baton Rouge. Booking ahead holds a time slot for drop-off, but it is never required.
Swap the cable and try another input on the TV first - those two checks are free. If the picture still drops, flickers when the cable moves, or the port looks bent or feels loose, the port is the likely fault, and our diagnosis confirms it under magnification before you are quoted anything.
PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED. HDMI ports are the specialty; Switch charging ports and screens and PS5 power problems are the other regular work. For anything else, text the model to (225) 769-6828 and ask.
Yes. The Switch charging port is soldered to the board, so replacing it is microsoldering - same bench, same process as an HDMI port. Cracked, dark, or unresponsive screens are diagnosed and quoted after we see what is actually damaged.
Yes - no-power PS5s are a diagnosis job we take in regularly. No lights, one beep and off, or a blue flash before it quits each point somewhere different, and testing finds which. If it cannot be fixed, there is no charge for the repair.
The warranty terms for your repair are written on your repair ticket and stated before you pay. We do not attach a set length here - the ticket is the document that counts, and we will walk through it with you at the counter before any money changes hands.
No. HDMI, power, port, and screen work is hardware work - it does not wipe storage. Your games, saves, and sign-ins stay where they were. If a job ever put your data at risk, we would stop and talk to you first.
